Resources
The Bible is God's inspired, inerrant, infallible word and the greatest recorded resource available to all of mankind. Bible reading and study is imperative to developing and maintaining a healthy understanding of God and an ever-growing personal relationship with Jesus.
In order to make disciples of Jesus, we ourselves must first become and remain healthy steadfast followers of Jesus. For over 25 years I have personally applied the following 3 step daily plan for reading and studying God's Word:
1.) Read through the entire Bible each year. This is meant to be a cursory reading in which you don't focus on each and every detail. Instead, you are more concerned with the big picture and the progression of God's redemptive plan for the Jew first and then all the nations to follow.
Reading just 3 chapters a day will get you through the Bible in a year! There are a variety of schedules available, many feel a chronological reading is very rewarding. There are many reading plans (with or without commentary) available to guide you through and help to keep you on track. I have provided a link to one of my favorite classic plans:

2.) Use any of the topical devotional plans that you will find on each one of the Bible App links below. These are usually 3 to 10 day plans on a variety of topics. This is a wonderful way to learn to make God's Word applicable to daily life and the circumstances it brings! Each daily devotional scripture and commentary take just a few minutes to complete but can speak to and direct you all day long!
3.) Spend a bit of time each day in actually studying and reflecting on (not just reading) small sections of scripture as led by your daily circumstances or by the whispering of the Holy Spirit or even just for curiosity's sake!
If this sounds a little too time consuming, start a bit at a time, get up a bit earlier or break it up over the course of each day. All fruitful and rewarding relationships require time spent together!
